Located right at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Johnson and Wales University is a college full of natural wonder, as well as plenty of learning opportunities. With fifteen majors to choose from, and plenty of clubs and organizations to explore, including their exciting athletic teams, the possibilities for personal growth are endless.
For undergraduates, you can pursue degrees in criminal justice, the culinary arts, hospitality of business, with any
number of majors inside of each of those categories. If you're looking for something a little less structured, they also have non-degree programs in the culinary arts department, to give your cooking or wine-tasting skills a boost. No matter you're looking for academically, Johnson and Wales is there to help you towards your goal.
There are a number of on-campus options for everyone, whether you're the kind who likes to meet new people, and don't mind sharing a room with another person, or if you're the kind who likes to go it alone, and would prefer a single room. The standard cost for a room is $8,892 a year, though you can choose to get a value room for the low price of $7,956. There are five different residence halls for you to choose from, and each brings a little something different to the table. No matter which you choose, however, it's bound to be a blast.
The first two halls, Johnson and Wales, are where most of the value rooms are located, and are the halls in which a majority of the freshman class choose to reside. They consists of two suite-style apartments, each with two people, and a shared bathroom between. These halls give you the opportunity to the meet new people, while not having to share your bathroom with a huge group of folks, like traditional dorm floors. For something a bit more private than that, try the Presidents Hall, which consists of double rooms, each with its own private bath. For a real apartment-style hall, make sure to make plans to get into Triangolo hall, which offers double, triple, or quad rooms, with private bathroom, kitchen and air conditioning. Sorry, freshman, but this is one dorm that only returning students can occupy. Another hall that is upperclassmen only is Gaebe Hall, which has suite style rooms, with two, three, or four students per room, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. All of these options offer something interesting for the upcoming student, and each of these halls has a recreation lounge, residence hall with TV, study rooms, laundry facilities and a shared kitchen.
Whether you're looking to pick up your bachelors degree, or simply trying to increase your culinary skills, Johnson and Wales provides you with the opportunity to follow your dream and have a blast while doing it. The campus also puts you just a few miles away from the bustling metropolis that is Denver, so you'll never be far from a good time, though there's no shortage of fun activities on campus. Johnson and Wales is perfect for those intimidated by the feel of the larger campuses like University of Colorado, or who are looking for smaller class settings where education can be more tailored towards their needs. Any way you slice it, Johnson and Wales is a fantastic choice, which will prepare you for the world to come, while giving you a full, exciting college experience as well.
