Denver is a city full of beautiful landmarks, and plenty of natural parks to explore, so when it comes time for apartment-ites to fill a free afternoon, they've got their work cut out for them. The park is rich in history, and was formally a cemetery in the late 1800s, and the large marble acropolis lies as a testament to this day. It was the first cemetery in Denver, created very soon after Denver was settled. To this day, many claim that the ground is still haunted by the souls that were once buried there, so if you want to take a walk in the park at night, keep your eyes out for early Coloradans looking to enjoy the park for themselves. Not to worry, though, all the remains that formally were held underground here were removed peaceably by their families, without fuss, and now what's left is one of the most gorgeous parks in all of Denver.

One of the main draws of the park is its gorgeous views. When standings in the large marble memorial, you can see clear past the large Front Range, and a 150-mile view of the natural beauty surrounding it. The large, central lawn is perfect for lounging around on cool, sunny Colorado afternoons, or spending some time tossing the frisbee with the dog, or playing with the family. You can also take in some of the parks beautiful botanical gardens, or a take on a jog on its winding granite footpaths. In the summer, the parks heats up in more ways than one, with summer concerts taking center stage.
