The Broomfield Recreation Services department offers a huge variety of activities, from learning to swim for babies to cooking and yoga classes for all ages of adults. There is a plethora of fun things for all ages to do through the three community centers including supper clubs and organized trips to nearby attractions, salsa and ballroom dancing, enrichment programs like pottery and pen and ink drawing, and a wide array of athletic programs. The decent skate park and the beautiful aquatics center present additional prospects for leisure time. The goal of the Recreation Services is "to provide a variety of fun, high quality and safe recreational and leisure opportunities."

An abundance of open space for walking or biking has been established by the city, as obtained through the Broomfield Open Space Advisory Committee. One thing to be concerned about is the territorial nature of coyotes from January through July, as they are breeding, having pups and protecting their pups during this time. This, unfortunately, is a large concern for Broomfield residents. Stay out of their space and you're safe. We can't ignore the fact that Broomfield is located in the Rocky Mountains. This means that skiing is available at several nearby skiing resorts, with Winter Park less than two hours away from your Broomfield apartments.

When not playing outdoors, shopping is another pastime enjoyed by many. Besides shopping at sales and clearance specials, enjoying a great meal at the mall can be found from the nearly 20 restaurants and specialty food shops. Just north west of the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, Flatiron Crossing merchants sponsor many events as well. The Mamie Doud Eisenhower Library is a huge facility on Community Park Road that hosts both monthly programs and special events throughout the year. Suited for teens to seniors, much can be learned and acquired here.
